We have now begun to hear about what it is like for Harry on the quidditch team. practices seem pretty intense! It's pretty amazing also that Harry is the youngest one to play on a Hogwarts team in a very very long time! Since Harry had never heard of quidditch before, he had a lot to learn, and so did we! We found out about the different kinds of balls there were, the quaffle, the bludgers, and the golden snitch; and the different positions! This brings me to our poll question for this week. Please make sure that you write more than one sentence in your response. I will be looking for the first person to write a 5 sentence response, and will reward that house with 7 bonus points!!! So please, really think about what you are going to write.
I think if I were on the quidditch team, I would like to be a chaser. That position seems like to much fun! Not only are you right in the middle of all the action, but you get to score goals! That sounds pretty cool to me! Plus, I think I would be a little too nervous to be a beater. What about you?

i would play seeker because then i let the beaters save people. i also would want to be seeker because then i mostly get to watch the game in the air.

I'd play seeker because it looks really easy. And if you just catch the golden snitch just one time the game we'll be over and you win. And you also get your own body guards (beaters)that protect you from that other ball. But if you wanna be a seeker you have to have really good eye sight.

I would want to play beater because I think it would be cool to hit a ball and if it broke somebodies nose I wouud`nt get in trouble. I would also learn to get better control over my broom. But I would be under a lot of pressure because everybody would be depending on me to protect them. If I played Quidditch as the beater and a ball speeding at me I hope I would`nt miss!! I wonder what Quidditch would be like if it was a real sport.

i chose seeker because i'd like to look for something gold. Also i'd no get hit with the bigger balls. It's cool how the seeker has to look for the golden snitch. So he'll need like what Harry has a Nimbus 2000 .It also cool how the snitch is worth a 100 points.

I choosed seeker because if you caughtch the ball you'll get one hundred points for your team.This was my favorite chapter becuase it's Harry's first Quidditch game.You've have to admit for Harry's first Quidditch game he was good. My favorite part was when Harry almost swallos one of the balls it was funny.The part I hated was when Snape used magic sorry this may have been long.

I would play seeker because if none of your team want to be seeker you can be a seeker.Then you can get the ball and get alot of point.It can be better if you trick the player and win more point.

I would want to be the chaser. I would because I would like to be able to get in the action. Also you can get to score goals in that position. It seems that you must be really fast on a broom in order to play that position. I think they should make Quidditch a real game or sport. it seems like a fun activity.

I chose beater because the whole team depends on them! It would also be cool because hitting a giant, hard, vicous, magical ball to other people would be fun. Plus, I get a club to swing wildly while riding on a magical, flying, broomstick. Meet ya at the field. (I really didn't mean that.)
